Block C - Why We Created This Resource

Why We Created This Resource

We designed this resource to amplify the voices of parents and community members, creating a more equitable and inclusive public education system.

How You Can Use This Resource

  • to learn more about race, equity, and inclusion
  • to work collaboratively with your child, school, and community
  • to inform your conversations about race, equity, and inclusion
  • to advocate for change in your child's school and community
  • to connect you with organizations supporting race, equity, and inclusion initiatives

Who We Are

Office of the Student Advocate supports students, parents, and families in their advocacy through parent education, one-on-one coaching, resource supports, and trainings in order to amplify the voices of families and communities in processes and decision-making; to provide avenues for access to resources and understanding systems; and to support the power families and communities already possess.
